Terms and conditions

1 – Reservation conditions - cancellation
A deposit of 30% of the total amount of the price of the stay is required to confirm a reservation. The deposit can be made by transfer or by check (contact us for the procedure).
The costumer can cancel the reservation, after deduction of bank charges, six weeks prior to the beginning of the stay. Beyond, the deposit paid is due. If case of cancellation in the week preceding arrival, the entire price of the stay will be charged: balance is made by bank transfer or check. 
Any bank charges on payments made are the responsibility of the customer.
If the customer decides an early departure, the full rental amount will be due. 
In case of major and unexpected problem forcing Vers La Croix to cancel the stay on its own initiative, Vers la Croix commits himself to immediately inform the client, to refund the amounts collected and to offer him any advice to relocated.

2 – Length of stays
The customer shall in no circumstances claim any right to stay in the property over the stay booked accepted by the owner.
During the weekends and during the months from April to September, stays are a minimum of two nights.

3 – Schedules
Check in is available from 5 pm to 8 pm. After 8 pm, the client must do a special request. In case of late arrival that has not been notified, the accommodation reservation is not guaranteed.
Departure is at 11 am at the latest. After 11 o'clock, one additional night will be charged.
Swimming pool is open, except in exceptional cases, from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm during summer season.
Breakfast is served between 8 and 10 am, inside or outside according to the weather. The last service is at 9:30 am.

4 – Use of the premises
The client must respect the peaceful character of the premises and use them according to their purpose. Room must be in perfect order when leaving, with all the objects present in the room.
In case of problems, the customer agrees to declare and assume financially any possible damage of which he could be responsible. Any deterioration noted (even after the customer’s departure) in the property (inside and outside) will be invoiced to the customer.
Drinks or food are not allowed in the rooms. Tables and chairs are available outdoors. No meals are available indoors, except breakfasts. Store food in the rooms is forbiden.
In-room towels are for exclusive use for the interior. We provide pool towels.
Only guests are allowed to enter in the property (rooms, garden, pool area).
Washing clothes is not allowed in the bathrooms. A laundromat is 5 km from the house.
For quiet stays, parties are not allowed, and guests must avoid making noise between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am.
Parking spaces are not available at the property. Parking spaces are available in the street or in a public car park, 150 meters from the house.

5 – Security
A key is given to close the room as well as a code and / or a key for access to the property. These keys must be handed over at check-out. For everyone's security, an indoor camera system is installed in the common areas of the property. No image is kept, except in case of problems.

6 – Changing room:
Without the client being entitled to claim any compensation, Vers la Croix reserves the right in unforeseen circumstances to change the room originally booked by the customer for a room of the same size or higher capacity. In such a case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.

7 – Pool area
Pool area is available during the season, except in exceptional circumstances, from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm. Outside these hours, the pool is not accessible and is protected by an alarm system.
The owners can temporarily close the access to the pool, without compensation.
The owners remind their customers of the lack of surveillance of the pool. Access to the pool is only for owners and guests staying in the property.
We ask guests to respect quiet in the pool area. Diving, jumping and playing as well as the use of diving masks are not permitted.
Guests have to take a shower before bathing and to use a bathing suit reserved for bathing purposes only.
All users of the pool must be covered by an insurance.

8 – Internet
Vers la Croix provides its customers with free Internet access. Internet user has to respect the law, under penalty of to incur criminal liability: no unauthorized downloading, no use for the purposes of reproduction, representation, making available or communication to the public of works or objects protected by copyright or by a neighboring right. Vers la Croix declines all responsibility in the event of misuse of the Internet by its customers.

9 – Parking
No private parking spaces at home. Public parking is located 150 meters from the house

10 – Restrictions
According to the configuration of the house, no children before 10 years old are allowed in the property. 
The property is entirely non-smoking. Ashtrays are available to smokers outside.
Pets are not allowed in the property (we have two little dogs).

11 – Responsible practices 
We try to respect responsible practices. 
We count on our guests to:
- leave lights when not required,
- turn off heating when windows are opened,
- stop running the tap unnecessarily,
- turn off the fan when leaving the room.

 12 – The client agrees to these terms and conditions as soon as payment of the deposit or the beginning of the stay.
In the event of a divergence between the different linguistic versions of the present General Terms and Conditions, the French version shall prevail.
